Putting on the INVU Sensor Band

Putting on the INVU Sensor Band

Step by Step instructions for correctly preparing and wearing the INVU Sensor Band.

Preparing your skin

Before applying the INVU sensor band, wash your belly with soap and water. Dry your belly well. Do not use wipes as they will not remove lotion or oily residue from your skin.

Preparing the band

Unlock the front buckles and release the band’s four front straps until they are as loose as possible while still being attached to the buckle. Make sure all eight detachable sensors are attached to the sensor band.

Resize the band:

  1. Flip the band over and note the top and bottom strap indicators. The INVU by Nuvo™ logo is located on the front of the top strap

  2. While standing up, place the sensor band onto your body and hold it up with your hands. Slide your hands along the back strap and secure it, closing the back buckle. You should hear a click sound. Before letting go, adjust the band by pulling each strap separately to tighten.

  3. After adjusting the band to your current belly size, remove the band.

Applying the gel

  1. Flip the band over the top and bottom indicators.

  2. Apply a pea size amount of gel to each detachable sensor filling the center notch

Applying the band

  1. Hold the band by the side plastic pods and place the lower strap as low as possible on your belly above your pants line. Then move the upper strap 2-3 fingers widths above your bell button.

Tip: Be sure not to smear any gel while putting on the band.

  2. Pull back the side sensors as far back as possible so that you have one on each side of your torso.

Tip: The side sensors should sit where your palms would be if you put your hands on each side of your torso.

  3. Slide your hands along the back strap and secure it by closing the back buckle. You will hear a click when the buckle is secure.

  4. Tighten the back straps by pulling one back strap to the side and then repeat on the other side.

Tip: The band should be snug on your belly. Double check the lower strap is as low as possible and the upper strap is 1-2 fingers above belly button.

  5. Tighten all 4 front straps so that the sensors are completely touching your belly.

Tip: With the buckle open, begin by holding one strap with one hand and pull until it is snug. Close the buckle while still holding the buckle strap in place. Repeat with all 4 front straps.

Moving to the monitoring position

Monitoring sessions can be performed lying down on your back, sitting or reclining in a quiet room with minimal distractions.

Tip: For best results, we recommend lying on the back if it is comfortable to you.

Final Adjustments

Once you are in your monitoring position, check that the front sensors are snuggly touching your belly. If necessary, tighten the front straps again and make sure all buckles are securely fastened.

Tip: Be sure not to smear any gel while adjusting your band. Your band should be flush to your belly without gaps between the INVU band and your skin.
